Be Safe – Be healthy – Start/Share a Crafting skill with others in the new year. Learning a new crafting skill is good for your mental health. It keeps you active even though you are sitting and doing it. Most crafters feel calmer when they are crocheting, knitting, weaving, or whatever the skill you are doing. Teaching children those skills young will help instill in them the ability to express themselves in a more positive outlet. Human beings are hard-wired to create.
Crocheting and knitting is a less expensive type of skill to begin learning. You can have a relative or friend teach you. There are lots of YouTube Videos and there could be crafting classes at your local library. You just have to ask the librarians to arrange it. Of course, they will need a healthy amount of people interested in those types of classes so make sure all your neighbors ask at the library as well. Crocheting and Knitting groups are a way to share your creations, get a little face time in with like-minded people and just have fun!
