What are you doing this weekend? We have been to one Florida Folk Festival on Memorial Day weekend, had a blown engine for the next, our application was lost or not approved for the third and this year we just didn’t bother to apply this year. On the one hand I don’t miss all the preparation that is involved in getting ready for a 3-day handcrafted vendor event as well as hanging out all day outside in the heat. The plus side would be meeting all the new people, catching up with old friends and listening to some great music. But instead we will be working in the park and watching kids play in the playground.
We have had to quit making any new handcrafted jewelry and asked mom to stop making crocheted items because our stock is just too high. We are selling on Amazon Handmade but not fast enough to keep us from stacking boxes up all over the RV to try and keep the inventory together in one place so that we can easily find things to be mailed out when bought. So, I gave all of my beading material over to my sister and her daughters to make their own items this summer. It’s kind of like creating a franchise. Hey, we’re going to be a chain! I am looking forward to seeing what they create.
So, please, please, buy more items so we can dwiddle down our stock and get back my space around my bed. I am sleeping in a very narrow space and really could use the room!
